Having The MAINE catch of the day is as close to eating by the sea as it gets.  

Sea Bass, Sea Bream, Red Snapper, Red Mullet and Grouper, we’re bringing all of the best fish the Mediterranean has to offer, straight to your plate. 

According to our chef, when it comes to freshly caught fish, simplicity is key - which is why he just drizzles it in olive oil, salt, and herbs, wraps it in a baking sheet and bakes it in the oven. 

It’s then up to you to choose from The MAINE sides to compliment it all - we recommend grilled asparagus, wild mushrooms and roasted garlic mash.

THE DAILY FIX

We know that procaffeinating is a ritual - which is why we’ve created one of the most exciting coffee menus in the city.

From classic espressos, macchiatos, cappuccinos, could brews to daring turmeric, macha and salted caramel lattes our Street Eatery coffee menu is designed to please any coffee aficionado.

But what makes our coffee great?

The first thing is our water. To ensure its purity, we’re using Reverse Osmosis: a technology that removes ions, unwanted molecules and larger particles from the water and gives it a long lasting mineral taste.

The second thing is the quality of our blends. To create our dream coffee, we partnered with homegrown coffee roaster, NightJar, and added our ‘Specialty Coffee’ to the menu.

Sourced in very different countries (Rwanda and Colombia), it celebrates two of the world’s hemispheres by bringing their rich, dark, nutty flavors together.

Straight from the farmer’s field to your MAINE cup, our ‘Specialty Coffee’ is crafted to bring you tears of joy!

Our home blends and ‘Specialty Coffee’ are available at The MAINE Street Eatery, Studio City.

MOTHER KNOWS BEST

After keeping it secret for 3 long years, our Chef shares his famous bread recipe with the MAINERS!

“It’s all about the Polish mother dough” explains Chef Saradhi, referring to the pre-fermentation basis of his bread.

He goes on to explain: “this process may be complicated, but it allows for delicious loaves that are hard to recreate.”

The MAINE mother dough was first crafted in 2016 and is since then re-fed on a daily basis.

Added to Raggi Flour and fresh rosemary, it is the basis to our bread famous yeasty flavour, and crunchiness.

Now, how about some butter on that toast?

THIRD TIME’S A CHARM

Fun fact: The MAINE goes through 1 ton of potatoes every month - just to make french fries.

And our french fries aren’t your regular fried potatoes.

They’re hand cut, rinsed and blanched to allow slow cooking and to keep them as tender as possible. Our Chef then leaves them to cool down, before frying them a first time at low temperature.

Finally, they’re cooked one last time right when your order is taken. This ultimate frying gives them their golden glow and leaves them crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside - just the way they should be.

Whether as a side, accompanying a juicy steak or in a Poutine - they’re unbeatable.

RIGATONI ARRABIATTA  

We over at The MAINE love cooking up an Italian dish, and a world without Rigatoni Arrabiata feels like a very bleak place indeed.

Using spice, our crabs are brought back to life, so be careful -- it may snip... it may snap... Indulge at your own risk.

PECAN PIE FOR THE WIN 

We’re obsessed with making everything at The MAINE, and our desserts are no exception.

The Maple Pecan Pie is an incredible brown butter medley covered in a Canadian Maple sauce. A decadent tree nut on it’s own, our Chef creates a medley of sugar cradled in a buttery crisp of a shell.

An East Coast classic, skipping out on dessert is technically a crime, so don’t be heinous and treat yourself.

THE FISHERMAN'S SOUP

The Fisherman's Soup is a beautiful mix of our favourite shellfish in a silky tomato garlic broth, and every once in a sand storm, the city of Dubai actually cools down - making it the obvious choice.

One of the newest items on the Fall / Winter menu, we take the incomparable quality of Norwegian Salmon and mix it up with fresh horseradish, capers, dill, salsa verde, shallots, and homemade potato chips.

There is nothing quite as satisfying as this combo of flavors paired with a damn good glass of wine. Lunch is served.

CHARGRILLED OCTOPUS

By far the most popular dish at The MAINE (after the Fish Tacos of course!) is the Chargrilled Octopus - a delicate meat; tender, purple, and just about perfect dish that chef always prepares himself. 

See, Portuguese octopus is a delicate meat that needs not to be covered in sauce or accompanied by complicated ingredients. When prepared right, a simple coat of high quality olive oil or butter makes for the perfect dish.

Fresh herbs and some seasonal veggies is all we do to garnish, but the real trick boils down to the water: how long the octopus soaks, the heat of the water, and preparing it 'à la minute'.
